Why we need magnesium?
Magnesium is a crucial element that our body needs in order to function at even the most basic levels – making it really important to get enough of this essential mineral on a daily basis. After lots of research this week it seems most of us could have a low magnesium level, a normal blood test cannot detect low magnesium levels as only 1% of magnesium in your body is distributed in the blood.
Now a day’s most modern farming has depleted magnesium from the soil which is not being replaced. Over consumption of processed foods, alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fluoride in the water means our bodies are not getting the magnesium it needs.
Magnesium is needed for hundreds of functions within the body, and every organ of the body uses it, especially the heart, kidneys and your muscles. Magnesium deficiency symptoms include sleep problems, headaches, muscle cramps, high blood pressure, constipation, anxiety, depression, back pain, body odour, gut disorders, low energy and thyroid problem. This is not an exhausted list.
From my research, it seems magnesium is absorbed best through the skin and is not well absorbed through the digestive system. There are two ways that you can get more magnesium into your body. This is through applying a spray or taking a high magnesium bath weekly (minimum 40min).
